I tried the new Mexican restaurant in the resort village on Sunday night. I had always enjoyed Mexicali Rosa's when they were at Tremblant before the whole chain went under. The prices, for Tremblant, are not unreasonable. My chimichanga plate was about $18. The chimi was crisp and the meat filling plentiful and tasty. The creme and cheese sauce on top brought it all together nicely. It was seasoned mainly with salt and lacking in more complex blends of mexican herbs and spices, but for mexican resort food, it was pretty darn good. Certainly better than the chinese resort food at Wok down below. Two strikes against the restaurant though. They don't give a little bowl of chips and salsa. We ordered alcoholic drinks and it was one of the only mexican restaurants I've been to where they don't comp you a small bowl of salty chips. And, this weekend was one of the 50% off promotion weekends. However, PdSC didn't participate and was charging full price. Their terrace was quieter than any of the participating restaurants. If I wasn't so curious to test it out for TI.com, I would have avoid PdSC and patronized one of the restaurants that was participating in the promotion.... Hopefully they get onboard with the resort promotions soon.

Hubby and I have only been in for drinks. I liked the atmosphere and thought the patio would be busy spot as its lower, less wind and sunnier. Don't get up in the summer, so I'll make sure its on the list for next season.
